
Beef burger & stir-fry rice fusion with burger sauce

Ingredients
- 1 Brown onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Carrot
- 200 grams Bacon
- 2 Gherkins
- ½ Green cabbage
- 2 tsp Olive oil
- 500 grams Beef mince
- 50 grams Tomato paste
- 60 mls Gherkin juice
- 2 tbsps Soy sauce
- 250 grams Basmati rice pre-cooked or instant
- 50 grams Cheese grated
- 40 mls Burger sauce
Instructions
PREP INGREDIENTS
- Peel and finely dice the onion. Peel and mince the garlic. Peel and grate the carrot. Finely dice the bacon. Finely dice the gherkin. Finely shred the cabbage.
COOK MINCE
- Heat the oil in a frypan on medium heat. Add onions, garlic, carrot and bacon and cook for 4-5 mins, until soft. Add beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-6 mins, breaking it up with a wooden, until browned.
COOK STIR-FRY
- Add tomato paste, gherkin, gherkin juice measure (if using) and soy sauce. Stir so the meat is coated. Add the cabbage and toss through the meat. Cook for about 3 mins, until the cabbage is slightly wilted. Then add the cooked rice, toss to combine and cook until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
TO SERVE
- Divide the beef burger & stir-fry rice between plates. Grate over the cheese and drizzle with the burger sauce.
